Book Review - Midnighter and Apollo (2016-) #6

This series was way too short. And this final issue felt a little rushed. There was potential for plenty of gritty action in this comic, but we sped along for a crawling, wordy end. It's the ending we were hoping for, but it felt somewhat tepid given the high stakes of the central plot. However, it gave us plenty of character interaction and some character development, which has been somewhat lacking given the brevity of the series and the more action-heavy plotline.

These two characters are compelling though. Sweetness and light on one page, and bashing the bejeezus out of bads in the next, Midnighter and Apollo are enjoyable to read. They're well-rounded, with their own motivations and individual traits, yet fit neatly with each other. I'm calling for a television series on these two - seriously, they need to be part of the Arrowverse, it would be brilliant!

I hope DC picks these two for an expanded series, with just as much magical craziness, action and emotion! <3
