The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Enigmatic and charismatic, this tale harks back to the romantic ages, when war, loyalty and king were all one was devoted to.
However, as much as I wanted to, I could not love this book. I found the attitudes dated - which makes sense considering the period it was written in, but not even the plot could prevent that nagging outdated feeling.
I spent most of the book detesting Athos and siding with Milady. That, pretty much sums up why I didn't like this book.
