Book Review - Lords of the Flies

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

A striking story told through the eyes of a group of children abandoned on an island. We follow their exploits as they attempt to survive the island and each other.

This story was brilliantly written if occasionally pushing the boundaries of belief that the children would be as stoic or as stable as they appear.

The book is a harrowing read and a definite inspiration for all the dystopian novels and films we see today. It's also a good insight into human psychology, the power battles and the anxieties.
